Can you pay for hotel accommodation using cryptocurrencies?
Asked 8 months ago
My family is planning a European adventure for next summer! We are planning on travelling to Greece, Portugal, and Croatia. We are in the process of looking at various hotel accommodations in the different countries. My dad has a large amount of Bitcoin that he wants to use to pay for our stays at the hotels. Is it possible to pay for hotel accommodation using Bitcoin?

You can absolutely pay for a hotel accommodation with crypto. Some of the most popular hotels in Europe that accept crypto are:
- The Chedi Andermatt,
- The Dolder Grand,
- The Pavillons Hotels Resort,
- The One Shot Hotels,
and many others. If you're planning on specifically travelling to Greece, Portugal, and Croatia (which aren't extremely crypto-friendly at the moment), I'd personally recommend getting a crypto debit card that you can use everywhere. You can get one with Coinbase, Binance, Nexo, or with another crypto platform that offers debit cards. After you open an account there, you can move the crypto in the account, and activate your debit card. You'll be spending the Bitcoin you planned to use just like fiat money, as long as the place you're going to accepts card payments.
