Is it is easy to get a refund if you buy a VPN subscription with cryptocurrencies?
Asked 9 months ago
I recently bought a VPN subscription with crypto. I bought it so that my online identity is kept private, my browsing is kept anonymous and secure, and the connection between my computer and the internet is encrypted. However, I am struggling to set it up after trying many ways. How can I get a refund on my purchase?

Unlike buying with a credit/debit card or an e-wallet, receiving a refund when you've payed with cryptocurrency is a bit hard. If you've already bought it, I'd recommend figuring it out and trying to make the most out of it while your plan lasts. This is because, when paying with cryptocurrency, the VPN provider doesn't have official in-store payment details. The only way you could get a refund is by contacting customer service and writing a detailed ticket.
Keep in mind, however, that when you open a ticket, you'll have to expose all of your personal information, which goes against what you wanted to do when purchasing the plan with crypto. You'll no longer be anonymous to the VPN provider and they'll know all of your details, including your first and last name.
